Since it was not cold enough for us in Montreal, we headed north to Quebec City (see their official tourism site), where daytime temps were in the single digits. The day here was certainly the highlight of the trip, with postcard views in every direction. This 400 year-old city is 98% French speaking and has the feel of an historic European city. This is one of the entrances to the Old Quebec, the only walled city in North America.
There are many picturesque, narrow streets lined with historic buildings.
More views of Old Quebec, a "World Heritage Treasure."
A live nativity and street performers entertained.
Very near Quebec City is Montmorency Falls (Chute-Montmorency), a 272-foot powerful waterfall.
The mist has frozen the hillside. It was about 5 degrees!
